The 27th edition of the Les Schwab Invitational will feature one of the best fields in event history as Columbus (Miami, Fla.), Perry (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.) headline the 16-team tournament set for Dec. 26-30 in Hillsboro, Ore.
MaxPreps National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer and second team MaxPreps All-America selection Koa Peat headline the individual talent. A potential Boozer vs. Peat matchup will be much-anticipated heading into the event.
Boozer averaged 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game to guide Columbus (26-4) to its second consecutive state title and the No. 8 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25. Peat averaged 19.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest to guide the Pumas (30-1) to their second straight state crown and the No. 12 spot in the national rankings.

Harvard-Westlake finished the season ranked No. 6 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 last season after capturing the CIF Open Division state title with a record of 33-2. The Wolverines are led by third team MaxPreps Junior All-America selection Trent Perry and MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honorable mention selection Nikolas Khamenia.
Mt. Spokane (Mead, Wash.) is the fourth out-of-state team participating in the event after reaching the Class 3A state semifinals in Washington and finishing with a record of 25-2 last season.
Top in-state teams taking the court for the 27th annual event include two-time defending 6A state champion Tualatin and defending LSI champion West Linn, which pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the past decade in high school basketball when it knocked off top-ranked Duncanville (Texas) in the title game last season.
